Promote a living wage requirement in Jax of $15 an hour

The Jacksonville area has the highest rates of poverty in Florida. The cost of living is also higher than the national average. This means that people are struggling to make ends meet and are not able to afford basic necessities like food, housing, and healthcare.
In order to address this issue, we need a $15 living wage for all workers in Jacksonville, Florida to enable individuals to prosper if they work one full-time job.

Address the corrupt rental system

Rental companies like AH4R have monopolized the rental market. They use ever-increasing profits generated by increasing rents -and having bully tactics for ensuring payment- to compete with middle class families looking to buy homes. They make cash offers on properties to circumvent the normal process and beat out families and have insights into market trends since they require tenants to give advance notice about intentions to move. They punish families for attempting to move by increasing rental rates once the notice is provided. Meanwhile, they fail to provide representation in situations where the OWNER must represent the property including disputes with neighbors and HOA.
